'These boots were made for walking'...but they should also be flattering

OK lets cut to the chase, short or tall, if you are in proportion you can rock any boot; knee high, calf length or ankle boot. A recent new for me has been the ankle boot. I've spent years thinking they make me look shorter; but them I spent years thinking skinny jeans made women look fatter and frankly we all live in them now. The right ankle boot, with the right jeans and the right top looks amazing. Here are a few of my favouorites.

Just when you thought you understood the Onsie, the Twosie came along

Last year was all about the Onesie; but unless you were aged between 18-24 you wouldn't be faulted for thinking that a Onesie was something for a new born. Alas no! It's for adults, and unashamedly I now own one... as do my 5 year old, my 6 year old and yep...my boyfriend. We have however saved ourselves the humiliation of wearing them in public as sported by many an 18year old this year and saved them for a cosy night in paired up with some UGGS. I have to admit I feel totally androgynous, but then we are in December and everyone's tummy is so bloated with warming Christmas food that it's probably not a bad idea to give the Agent Provocateur a well deserved break. Did you ever wonder why Valentines day is in February? it's so that we can look reasonably sexy again after a dry Jan ! Having said that I recently saw a few pics of some very hot celebs in Onsies and they did rock them, so I am secretly hoping my Valentines will come early. I'm somewhat mortified though that now that I have this trend under my belt, that the Twosie has taken over from the Onesie. The best part however is that most of us own Twosies and if you are trying to guess what a Twosie is, don't over think it. It just means two separates. Breathing a sigh of relief ??? We all own Twosies and lots of them. Some of my favourite separates for lounging are from Hush, Abercrombie and my Snoopy outfit from H&M.

Why Bastien Belle

I started Bastien Belle in 2014 after I realised that there were so many photos I would see online and in magazines and I would want to know where to buy the clothes from. I want to show you what I wear and how to wear it. I love clothes and I love playing dress up and more importantly I wanted to show you that the fun does not stop just because you become a mummy. I loved dressing up my dolls and now I love dressing up my kids Isabelle and Sebastien....and secretly enjoy dressing up my boyfriend (tip no 1: make them feel like they decided). There will be lots more tips like that.
